Ingredients: What’s In Transparent Labs Prebiotic Greens?
The ingredients in Prebiotic Greens are Spirulina, Chlorella, Acacia, Green Banana, Jerusalem Artichoke, and Chicory root.
These are either dense in micronutrients or they provide prebiotic effects from their fiber. They’re all good inclusions, but the actual breadth of ingredients is a lot smaller than some super green competitors.
Here’s what you’ll get:
- Spirulina: a super nutrient dense algae with almost all of your vitamin and mineral needs – but hard to digest. This makes the prebiotic benefits far more important here.
- Chlorella: similar to spirulina, one of the most powerful and nutrient dense algaes, but with similar absorption challenges to spirulina.
- Green Banana: a flour that is denser in phytonutrients than alternatives, with extra potassium, magnesium, and prebiotic fiber to regulate metabolism. This makes it a great choice for absorption and stability of prebiotic greens in your gut.
- Jerusalem Artichoke: a source of inulin, a prebiotic fiber with excellent gut benefits that also regulates blood sugar levels and cholesterol. A good choice, but one of many inulin sources.
- Chicory root: another inulin source, like artichoke, to improve gut health and support better absorption. This is one of the trio of powerful prebiotics.
These aren’t the best or widest ingredient profiles around, but they deliver excellent value on the two benefits: prebiotics and greens. It’s not too impressive, but it does what it says.

Benefits: What Does Prebiotic Greens Do?
The main benefits of Prebiotic Greens are improving gut health, supporting better nutrient intake, and providing niche phytonutrients.
The benefits are a little light, however, due to a lack of active ingredients. The prebiotic effects are strong compared to alternatives, but they’re also not hard to find. Inulin prebiotics are common in foods like garlic, onion, and others.
The greens’ benefits are lacking since both spirulina and chlorella are very low bioavailability.
This is fine in a larger blend or with digestive enzymes, but they’re weak by themselves. With no other active ingredients, this leaves Prebiotic Greens underpowered compared to other powders.
Our Verdict: Should You Buy Prebiotic Greens?
No – you probably shouldn’t buy prebiotic greens – the main ingredients are found in other super green powders, and they’re hard to digest. This product is weaker, at the same price, and prebiotic effects are neither rare nor expensive to get elsewhere.
The prebiotic effects are great for improving absorption, but Spirulina and Chlorella are the only active greens. They also have terrible absorption profiles – even with the prebiotic ingredients.
Alternative products on the market include more readily digestible alternatives like Broccoli extract (for DIM). Prebiotic Greens is okay, but it’s not the best option on the market, and it doesn’t make up for this with the price, either.
