I’m in the middle of my bulking routine and bought creatine to gain more strength. After reading your article on creatine and several other articles, I’m confused if I should do the loading phase or just start taking 5g each day. Any particular benefits of loading creatine?
The question does not have a simple answer, simply due to the fact that there hasn’t been enough evidence to support the answer. Creatine loading is done for the initial days to load up creatine in the ATP stores, while the maintenance phase ensures that creatine stays saturated. However, even if you do not load creatine in the initial days, you’re bound to see the results creatine has, with just a delay of a week or so. I personally do not load creatine, I just start with 5g a day, and star seeing results within 14 days.
