You get 17g of fats – more than most products – from coconut oil, one of the healthiest and fastest-absorbing options around. The other options are a little confusing but mostly positive:
- 13g of BCAAs – more than you actually need.
- 10g of glutamine precursors – also excessive.
- 1.4g of arginine – not as good as citrulline or AAKG
These secondary ingredients fall a little flat compared to some competitors. For example, creatine and citrulline would be better choices. The excessive intake of Glutamine precursors would easily leave enough ‘space’ for these changes!

Muscle Juice is a good mass gainer with reasonable value and great protein and carb sources. These make it a strong competitor – but not the best on the market. It struggles to compete with some items like Staunch Nutrition’s Kanga Milk, or Optimum Nutrition Pro Gainer.
The secondary ingredients let this product down a little; they’re not as good as some alternatives. The macronutrients are good and the sources, too, but it’s not as glamorous as a leaner mass gainer or better secondary ingredients (like creatine) to offer more value.
This is a good product – and the value in particular – but it’s not the best we’ve ever seen. It’s rock solid, but misses out on some easy wins!
