The main ingredients in Body Fortress Super Advanced Mass Gainer are whey protein, the carbohydrate complex, added electrolytes, and BCAAs from amino acid fortified whey.

Each 6-scoop serving of Body Fortress mass gainer provides:

Any other time of day, however, they’re not great – as you spike insulin levels for no reason, and can easily get some unwanted fullness or bloating from 1,030 calories of mass gainer.

The main benefit of Body Fortress Super Advanced Mass Gainer is – of course – easier weight gain and muscle growth. It’s a high calorie supplement with a major focus on post workout use to put the huge carb content to work in the muscles.

This makes it an obligate post-workout shake, due to the macros. You can use a 3-scoop serving during the daytime, but we’d reserve the larger 6-scoop serving for post-workout, or you’re going to feel heavy and slow, with those carbs not having a ‘job’ in the body.

The high levels of BCAAs are also great in the post-workout role, where they’re going to be a fantastic way to support your recovery and put the relatively slim 40g of protein to work.

This is a relatively simple product and the recovery boost and extra calories are the whole point – which also makes it a relatively strong choice for athletes looking to refuel between training.

In my experience, this kind of carb load does require managing and planning ahead!

Our Verdict

The verdict of this brief Body Fortress Super Advanced Mass Gainer review is simple: it’s an okay super mass gainer, but it’s definitely not super advanced, and it’s not as good as some of the other competitors on the market.

We’ve seen this product in so many stores and on sale so often, and it seems to be the result of never carving out a clear niche. If you want a big, hard-hitting mass gainer then you could do better with Dymatize Super Mass Gainer or ON Serious Mass.

It’s hard to recommend this product on quality when it’s out-classed, but it does offer relatively good value, so it could be a good choice if you’re low on cash and want to go by dollar-per-calorie.
